The Vampire Diaries Australia

Hub Productions has announced Candice Accola as the fifth guest star for The Vampire Diaries Convention. 

On April 10 Hub Productions released this statement: "we are pleased to finally be able to announce Miss Candice Accola, who portrays sassy fan-favourite Caroline Forbes, will be joining us for Vampire Diaries: Return to Mystic Falls."

The convention will take place in June in Melbourne and Sydney. Tickets are on sale now at the Hub Productions website.

After much anticipation Fox8 will premier Season Three of The Vampire Diaries at 8:30pm on Tuesday the 10th of April.

After a very long wait, Season Three will finally come out in Australia on September 5th.

Sanity released the following statement today: 

"The news is in – Season 3 will be released on DVD & Blu-Ray on the 5th September! Please note this date is still tentative and is subject to change.

JBHIFI is also offering pre-orders.

It is still unknown when Season Three will air on Australian Television. 

GO! Channel has this morning announced that they've sold the rights for The Vampire Diaries to Foxtel.

Fans have been impatiently waiting the news as to when TVD would return on GO! Many rumors have been circulating, with many speculating what turned out to be true.

GO! stated on Facebook and Twitter: "Vampire Diaries Fans - we can now announce that the rights to the show have now been acquired by Foxtel. Please contact them for any further info about this 3rd series. Thanks, GO!"

Many fans have been left angry considering that GO! posted on October 4: "TVD Fans - we know you think we are Stefan you around but when there's news to tell we'll post it here, promise!"

I guess GO! really was Stefan us around! 

The Hub Productions recently announced a new guest for TVD Australia Convention next year, Steven R. McQueen!

Steven will be joining a panel of guests which currently includes Michael Trevino and David Anders. The rest of the guests are still to be revealed.

If you missed the ending of season two due to all the scheduling mishaps or if you simply love TVD so much that you want to watch it (and again and again), then you're going to want to buy the DVD.

Season two will be released September 7th (yay), and pre-orders are available. Sanity and JB HI FI have both advertised the DVD at around $45. 

There is still no word on when or if season three will premier in Australia; however, it premiers in the US on September 15.

Just a quick reminder to get your tickets for the Vampire Diaries conventions in Sydney and Melbourne. The event is taking place June 2012 but the earlier you purchase you tickets the better seats you will get

Our favorite werewolf Michael Trevino will be be attending the Vampire Diaries 2: A Return to Mystic Falls, HubProductions event next year!

He will join David Anders for the (Sydney) June 9 and (Melbourne) June 10 panel of guests.

The remaining guests will be announced over the coming months.

David Anders has just been announced to be filling one of the guest spots in the June 2012 Vampire Diaries Convention in Sydney and Melbourne.

"The event features the guests live on stage for a few stories, anecdotes as well as Question and Answers. There will also be a variety of events throughout the day, such as auctions, raffles and trivia. There will also be merchandise as well as rare collectables available to purchase from the dealers. You will also have the chance to meet the guests and acquire autographs and professional photographs." (Hub Production Website)
